You may petition a state agency for the adoption of a rule or rule change according to the Administrative Procedure Act (Texas Government Code, 搂2001.021). The State Board of Education (SBOE) has adopted a rule that prescribes the form for a petition and the procedure for its submission, consideration, and disposition.
The procedure to petition for adoption of changes to SBOE rules is codified as 19 TAC 搂30.1.
