Proposed New 19 TAC Chapter 113, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Social Studies, Subchapter A, Elementary, Subchapter B, Middle School, Subchapter C, High School, and Subchapter D, Other Social Studies Courses
Summary: The proposed new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills would update the social studies standards and implement House Bill (HB) 27, HB 824, and Senate Bill 24, 89th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2025.

Proposed Amendment to 19 TAC Chapter 74, Curriculum Requirements, Subchapter A, Required Curriculum, §74.3, Description of a Required Secondary Curriculum
Summary: The proposed amendment would update the list of high school courses for personal financial literacy and economics that are required to be offered to students to align with the requirements of House Bill 27, 89th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2025.

Summary: The proposed amendments would update high school graduation requirements to align with House Bill 27, 89th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2025, related to personal financial literacy, and Senate Bill 2314, 89th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2025, related to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board direct admission program.
